Industrial Light and Magic is one of the leading forces in the world of movie special effects. The company, founded by George Lucas, in many ways has changed the way movies are made. From CGI to digital filmmaking, ILM has produced some of the most innovative and groundbreaking developments in cinematic history.

We often take it for granted the incredible visuals produced and incorporated into nearly all of today’s sci-fi and fantasy movies and the amazing work that goes into making scenes that simply do not exist in real life. I for one however, appreciate the artistry and imagination of those who work in the special effects industry, and would like to thank all those who have contributed to making the wonderful films I have enjoyed watching over the years since I became a fan of science fiction and fantasy.
